ESOL Adult Career Pathways is designed to improve English comprehension, speaking, reading and writing skills and to prepare students to enter training programs, college or the workforce. Funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Brockton Area Workforce Investment Board, this ESOL class focuses on English language instruction that is contextualized to provide workplace readiness, SCANS content (Skills Necessary for the Workplace) and customer service skills, knowledge and practical experience. It also provides students residing in the greater Brockton area with survival and life skills and exposure to a variety of career pathways, skills training, and post-secondary education opportunities.
