By attending Training Resources of America’s (TRA) Young Parents Program, I finally got the chance to focus on myself and graduate with my High School Equivalency Diploma (HiSED).

Attending TRA-Brockton allowed me to realize that anyone, even teenaged mothers, can be successful in life. When going to school, I was able to block all my outside problems and situations. I was surrounded by strangers that didn’t know me and teachers prepared to help me with my school work.

Other young parenting parents and I were able to build connections beyond the family with adults who were able to guide and mentor us into the right directions. I also learned new topics, in different subjects, that I never got the chance to learn when I was in regular high school. I studied very hard and was exposed to different methods of learning while attending this school.

I want to take this chance to thank TRA and the teachers who mentored me in getting my HiSED. I am very appreciative and show much gratitude towards the association as a whole.
