MEET JÁNÉE WILLIAMS: A TRA-BROCKTON YPP SUCCESS STORY!

My name is Jánée Williams. I’m 24 and I’m a mother of two. I made a goal to achieve my High School Equivalency Diploma (HiSED) before my second child arrived.

It took some time to find the right program for me. I had a few obstacles in my way and I took a break a few times before I came to the TRA-Brockton Young Parents Program (YYP) in late August 2015.

Thanks to their help and guidance, I accomplished my goal and got my HiSED in March 2016. If it wasn’t for the TRA group, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m more motivated to do anything. I’m more energetic in the morning. I wake up with a smile and I love it. I would like to thank all the staff and mentors for all the help and encouragement.

Jánée is now enrolled in the TRA-Brockton Employment Prep Program where she is actively searching for employment.

Congratulations Jánée! All of us at TRA are very proud of you and your accomplishments!

Both YPP and the Employment Prep programs are funded by the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance.
