Training Resources of America, Inc. is hiring part-time evening ESOL Instructors for their Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE) funded program in Worcester.

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides instruction to students enrolled in the evening English for Speakers of Other Languages Program to enable them to improve their ability to understand, speak and write English; conducts orientation sessions with students to familiarize them with the program; participates in the development of curriculum as well as the design and implementation of individualized and group activities; conducts group ESOL conversational classes and one-on-one tutorial sessions with students to facilitate learning; provides personal, academic and vocational counseling services to students to ensure program retention and achievement of individualized goals.

QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS degree and computer/software literacy required. Massachusetts State Teacher Certification and 1-2 years experience as an instructor preferred. Bi-lingual capability a plus. This job requires the ability to relate/communicate with a diverse, multi-cultural population with varying needs/ issues. It also requires initiative, creativity and strong organizational skills/time management skills to cultivate and present the various curricula. It requires flexibility and the ability to produce required results in students, as well as the ability to work closely with staff in a team approach to achieve overall program goals.
