Training Resources of America, Inc. (TRA) and HarborOne Bank Foundation have joined forces to enrich educational programming for low- to moderate-income people in the Greater Brockton area.

A recent HarborOne Bank Foundation grant in the amount of $5,000 will help support Adult Literacy programming at TRA’s Brockton training site located at 231 Main Street, Suite 302, Brockton, MA. More than 100 educationally and economically disadvantaged students, age 16 and over, enrolled in TRA Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes will be the beneficiaries. The classes, which are available at no cost to students, provide instruction in reading, writing, math, high school equivalency prep, all levels of English, work and college readiness, and financial literacy. The ultimate program goal is to help clients become economically stable and self-sufficient.

“The HarborOne Foundation is honored to partner with and invest in the work of Training Resources of America (TRA),” said Jennifer White, President HarborOne Foundation. The robust educational opportunities and programs provided by TRA play a critical role in helping our most vulnerable citizens with their goal to achieve economic independence and stability.”
