My name is Suhei Vivier. I am 18 years old. Two years ago I gave birth to my pride and joy, daughter Maniayah.

During pregnancy I tried achieving my goal to get my diploma but it didn’t end up happening. After having my daughter I tried to go back to school and because of having so many struggles during that time everything was hard and I just gave up again.

During my pregnancy I went through stages of depression and that was rough. After I gave birth, it got worse without the help of anyone. No one was ever there for me, but I got through it every day by looking at my daughter and how she put a smile on my face every day when I woke up to her.

It’s not as easy as people think it is to be so young with a baby and still in school. That’s why I would suggest middle and high school girls to wait and think about their education first before they decide and make adult choices. So choose your choices wisely before making that big mistake.

I finally decided it was a good choice to go back to school, I found this program called the Young Parents Program for girls and boys that have children and need a GED. I signed up for the program and now after getting my GED, I am in the process of applying for colleges to become a Registered Nurse one day and provide my daughter with a better future. If anyone comes to me asking what program I went to I would tell them the YYP is the best program for young parents without a diploma.
