Meet Luis Rodrigues: A TRA-Brockton TRADE Program Success Story!
“My name is Luis Rodrigues. I earned my High School Equivalency Credential on April 15, 2021, by working in the TRADE program at Training Resources of America, Inc. in Brockton.
When Keegan Valiton started his YouthBuild Worcester journey in November 2019, the world was a much different place. An eager 22 year old from Worcester, he was described by staff as a “sponge” for information in both the classroom and on the training worksite.
Tyler Supernor, age 26, was born in Worcester, but was raised partly in West Boylston, MA. He graduated high school through the Gateway to College Program at Mt.
Zachary Drake is a 20 year old Worcester resident. Zach came to TRA after learning about YouthBuild Worcester from his Department of Children and Families’ case worker.
Nicko Cochrane is a get-it-done kind of guy. Originally from the South, he owned and managed a restaurant, working every position necessary to keep it running, including the head cook. Nicko also proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged.
Jadis Fencher, age 18, joined Worcester YouthBuild’s Construction Skills Track in October 2019. A self-described “tomboy”, she had recently graduated from North High School and was looking for a new challenge.
On Friday, August 7, 2020, TRA-Worcester YouthBuild students, Jacqueline (Jacqui) Bain and Alexes Hernandez, successfully completed the Nursing Assistant Training component through TRA’s partnership with The Fieldstone School.
We are thrilled to announce that one of our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students, Jennifer Torres, is being awarded a First Literacy Scholarship.
As described by TRA-Quincy Manager Nate Stowell, Joe Lupo is an “all around good kid, smart, personable and has a great sense of humor.” These traits are all the more impressive because for years Joe has struggled with some significant and very difficult life issues.
While attending high school in New York, Carolyn Moseley became interested in joining the Army. She knew it would be a great opportunity for her to travel, learn new skills and eventually have financial support to go to college. So, at age 17, Carolyn found herself in basic training for the U.S.

My name is Jessica Santos and I am a mother to four beautiful children. I had my first child at a young age, and I, unfortunately, left high school to take better care of my baby girl.
My name is Jocelyn Ramos. I'm 25 years old. I am a single mother of 3 children. I came to Massachusetts through the passage of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, in which I lost my home and my work as an Independent Nurse. That's why I decided to travel here with my children to this country.
