Training Resources of America and its Worcester YouthBuild Program are partnering with Worcester Common Ground, Saint-Gobain Corporation, and YouthBuild USA in an exciting new venture which will culminate in the building of two new sustainable, high energy efficient 900 square foot homes at 20-24 Merrick Street, Worcester.

On Tuesday, June 26, 2018, the partners participated in a design charrette to discuss, explore and brainstorm ideas on how to make the building project the “greenest” it can possibly be using the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System as defined by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The project partners expect to break ground in September. Upon completion, both homes will be sold to low-income, first-time homebuyers. Stay tuned!
