Employment Prep Program (Comprehensive Integrated Employment Services/CIES) provides DTA eligible clients with short-term training to improve opportunities for job placement leading to self-sufficiency. Based on individual needs, training includes: Job Readiness Skills, Computer/Clerical Skills Courses; Customer Service Skills/National Retail Federation Certification; ServSafe Food Handler Skills/Certification; Adult Basic Education, High School Equivalency Test (HiSET/GED) Prep; English for Speakers of Other Languages; and Financial Literacy Skills. The program is augmented by counseling/case management and job development/placement/follow-up support. The Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance funds CIES Employment Prep programs at TRA Brockton, New Bedford and Quincy training sites.
The Worcester training site offer a similar Employment Prep Program (CIES) to eligible clients referred by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC).
