Timothy Casey dropped out of high school in 2017. “When I was in school, my grades were not very good, so I decided I needed a new start. My guidance counselor suggested I take night classes.” And that is when Timothy enrolled in Training Resources of America-Quincy office’s Adult Basic Education (ABE) program. By the end of June 2018, Timothy had progressed from level 2 to level 3 and was getting ready to pursue his high school equivalency credential.

In September 2018, Timothy decided to enroll in the ACHIEVE! Youth Opportunity Program which provides a comprehensive array of education, skills training and support services for youth between the ages of 16 and 24.

With the support of ACHIEVE! staff, Timothy, now age 18, has attained his high school equivalency credential, a customer service certificate through the National Retail Federation, and is working as a host at IHOP. He is currently exploring his “next step” options with enrollment in college high on his list. Of his experience at TRA-Quincy, Timothy says, “I want to thank Training Resources of America for helping me finish my education.”

Congratulations Timothy! We look forward to helping you on the next phase of your journey!
