Do you want to help youth and adults achieve their education, skills, and employment goals? TRA is hiring a Curriculum Developer/Training Coordinator for our corporate office in Worcester, MA. Working in a small office atmosphere, this Covid-19 friendly 20 hour a week position is a perfect way to use your background as a teacher or curriculum developer. The person in this role will be under the direct supervision of the President/CEO to coordinate with the Operations/Compliance Director to:
· Oversee and assess the current curriculum services and software subscriptions used by TRA as well as research for additional curriculum that may enhance current training plans;
· Maintain the current standardized curriculum for 4 training sites that can be used in-person and/or virtual, while being able to customize for specific projects;
· Provide training to staff within our sites on a variety of topics re: classroom management, DESE compliance, etc;
· Current programs with curricula include: YouthBuild, Young Parents, Employment Services, Adult Basic Education/HiSET Prep/ English for Speakers of Other Languages, HiSET Prep, Customer Service, and ServSafe;
· Work under guidelines of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Department of Transitional Assistance, Department of Labor, and specific contracts;
· Develop and organize systems and organize efficiently as well as tracking agency wide systems to monitor educational systems;
· Work with Operations Director in DESE Program Requirements and assist Grants Writer with curricula materials, when needed;
· Performs other duties
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree and previous teaching/curriculum development and staff training preferred
· Ability to work as a team and individually
· Ability to work with a diverse group of people as well as devise curricula for both youth and adults
· Must demonstrate effective and strong communication, organizational, technical writing, and training skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
· Availability to travel to TRA sites in Massachusetts and attend any developmental training for the position
