YouthBuild is designed to provide low-income, out-of-school youth, aged 16-24 with an opportunity to transform their lives and become contributing partners in the community. Participants receive on-the-job, hands-on, construction skills training utilizing an actual housing rehabilitation project or new construction site in the community that helps to create quality low-income housing. Additionally, participants receive Home Building Institute (HBI) Pre-Apprenticeship Certification Training (PACT) and OSHA certification training.

HUD Announces Funding for Quincy YouthBuild Program

Quincy, MA. - Young people who lack basic education face a lifetime of underemployment and can be at higher risk of homelessness. On February 16, 2007, Training Resources of America, a non-profit agency that helps low-income residents become self-sufficient, got a boost with the announcement of a grant that will bring skills, diplomas, and renovated housing to Quincy.

Worcester Youthbuild Students Graduate on June 15, 2006

Worcester, MA - The Worcester YouthBuild Program graduated fourteen students on Wednesday evening, June 15, 2006. Graduation ceremonies took place at the Worcester Hotel & Conference Center, Garden Courtyard, 500 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA. The commencement address was given by YouthBuild graduating students, Angel Albino and Melony Otero.

Quincy Youthbuild Hosted Its Fifth Graduation on October 27, 2005

QUINCY, MA - The Quincy YouthBuild Program graduated twelve students on Thursday evening, October 27, 2005. The graduates, age 16-24 included: Stephen Byrnes, Matthew Cassidy (not in photo), Kevin Hastie (not in photo), Grady Mota, Ruben Nuñez, Curtis Porter, Giovanni Rosario, Hollie Smith, Mary Smith, Ray Smith, Daniel Tu Tran, and Caitlin Younie.
